Barossa Distilling Company
In August 2017, The Distillery Door Tasting Room & Cocktail Bar was unveiled, located in the historic Old Penfolds Distillery on the Provenance Barossa site in Nuriootpa. This site holds a significant history of distillation. The Barossa Gin Distillery boasts some of Australia’s oldest commercial stills, including the rare Coffey Still, of which only three exist globally.
Visitors can enjoy paddle tastings of their gins and cocktails at The Distillery, which opens its doors four days a week.

In 2016, the dream of creating exceptional spirits became a reality when Matt, Trudy, and Steve founded Ambleside Distillers. Responding to their growing popularity and future demand, they expanded their production space in late 2021. This expansion included the addition of two Australian Made stills—a 970-litre Gin still and a 1250-litre Whisky still—allowing them to diversify their offerings and further elevate their craft.
